Guntur: Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, pompously celebrated its 13th graduation day. This year’s graduation day was a historic event for Sibar as it has witnessed the presence of Dr. Kathryn Kell – the President of World Dental Federation (FDI) as the Chief Guest.

The dais was shared by the Dean Dr L Krishna Prasad, Chief Co-Ordinator Dr L Subba Rao, Director Dr T Krishna Mohan and the chief guest Dr Kathryn Kell. The college dean Dr L Krishna Prasad initially invited all the guests and the parents of graduating batch. Later, he submitted the annual report and also praised the achievements of this graduating batch. He congratulated all the outgoing students for their endeavours all through their academic career.

The Chief Guest Dr Kathryn Kell expressed her joy of this being her first visit to India and to the newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh, and being a part of this graduating ceremony of a college of excellence like Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences. She also expressed that the international fame of this institute, the various academic programmes organised by this institute at National and International levels and the achievements of the dean Dr L Krishna Prasad and his active role in World Dental Federation (FDI) inspired her to come to this institute.

Though this is her first visit to South India and the newly formed capital of Andhra Pradesh State, she is happy to witness all the amenities pertaining to education, health care facilities and teaching methodologies followed in this institute to be at par with International Standards. She wished all the success to the graduating batch and hoped that they reach highest peaks in their career and provide good oral health services to the needy people while following good standards.

The Vice-Principal Dr BV Ramana Reddy, HODs of all departments, other faculty members and the parents of graduating batch students participated in this programme and made it a grand success. A total of 98 students have graduated in this programme. V. Anu Chowdary, M. Maneesha, P Rahul Bapuji, Chinmayi Sailaja, K Neelima and B Purnapriya received Gold Medals for their academic excellence all through their academic career.
