Speed up development works: Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao
Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao on Monday directed the officials to speed up the construction of houses under the Housing for All Scheme
Guntur: Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao on Monday directed the officials to speed up the construction of houses under the Housing for All Scheme.
Reviewing the progress of various developmental works at a meeting held at Inspection Bungalow in Guntur city, he directed the officials to complete the development works within the stipulated time. The officials informed the minister that the government has sanctioned Rs 6,630 houses so far and they had completed 2,496 houses.
They added that 3,760 houses were under various stages of construction. The minister instructed the officials to maintain quality in works. He also enquired about the progress of drinking water scheme, UGD works in Guntur city and enquired about road works from Chuttugunta Y Junction to Auto Nagar Y Junction Road.
He expressed ire on the ShapoorJi and Pallonji representatives for starting UGD works without giving information to R&B department. MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy and GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lahkar were present.
