Ongole got a theme song ‘Velugutunna Ongolu’

Ongole: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday released a theme song for Ongole Municipal Corporation.
The song titled as ‘Velugutunna Ongolu’, is written by the municipal commissioner Sankranti Venkata Krishna and Jaladanki Sudhakar and sung by the journalist Nukathoti Sarath Babu while Gotikala Jashuva provided the music.
The commissioner said that the song is aimed to achieve clean Ongole by motivating the people on the importance of cleanliness and sanitation with the inspiration from Swacchata movement.
The song explains various Swacchata programmes being implemented by the municipal corporation and encourages public to best utilise them, he added.
Municipal minister P Narayana, forests, environment, science and technology minister Siddha Raghvaarao, collector and special officer for Municipal Corporation Vadarevu Vinay Chand, joint collector S Nagalakshmi, Bapatla MP Sriram Malyadri, municipal commissioner S Venkata Krishna and MLAs, MLCs and other officials participated in the programme.
