Vijayawada: It is all set for the distribution of tools and other equipment to the beneficiaries under the Adarana-2 scheme at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium at 10 am on Monday. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will participate and distribute the units and tools to the beneficiaries of 11 federations and other sections of the society like SC,ST, BC and minorities.

Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu on Sunday inspected the arrangements being made at the IGMC stadium for distribution of tools. Speaking on the occasion, Ananda Babu said the State government decided to help five lakh people under the Adarana-2 scheme. He said the State government is implementing ‘Pedarikam Pai Gelupu’ (victory over poverty) scheme for the upliftment of weaker sections.

He said tools and units worth Rs 1,500 crore would be distributed in all revenue divisions of the State under Adarana for the economic uplift of the families in the society.

He said transparency has been maintained in the selection of beneficiaries under Adarana-2 scheme. District Collector B Lakshmikantham, Joint Collector-2 P Baburao and the officials of the departments of Social Welfare, BC Welfare and the Tribal welfare also inspected the arrangements at the IGMC Stadium.
