Chirala: “Those who are not controlling blood sugars are more susceptible to get diseases of eyes, heart and kidneys,” announced Dr Gaddam Srikanth Reddy, diabetic specialist.

Speaking at the awareness programme arranged as part of the World Diabetic Day, at Kamakshi Care Hospital, Srikanth Reddy said that a lot of people are prone to diabetic due to their unbalanced diet habits and stress filled life.

Tadivalasa Devaraju, MD of the hospital said the hospital is conducting free surgeries under NTR Vaidyaseva scheme to the people with diabetes, bones, ENT, general surgery.

The Lions Club Chirala and students of YA Women Degree College organised a rally for awareness on diabetes. The club president Bellamkonda Suresh Babu, college principal Ramanamma and others also participated in the rally.
