4 arrested, Rs 8 lakh worth gold recovered

Guntur: Urban police arrested four chain snatchers in Guntur city on Thursday and seized 252 grams of gold while they were trying to sell gold in Guntur city. The value of gold they seized is Rs 8 lakh.

According to Guntur urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, the accused Chirumamila Sai, Gudipudi Pavan Kumar, Shaik Daria and Shaik Shami Ullah were involved in the chain snatching and gold theft cases. 

While they were moving suspiciously at Marutinagar, the police took them into custody for questioning. While, they were questioning, the accused conceded their involvement in the theft cases.
