Panel member warns hoarders of essentials
The Andhra Pradesh State Food Commission has been creating awareness among people about food security, said its member Gudise Krishnamma while speaking to the media here on Friday
Kurnool: The Andhra Pradesh State Food Commission has been creating awareness among people about food security, said its member Gudise Krishnamma while speaking to the media here on Friday.
She stated panel chairman and members are visiting schools, Anganwadi centres and welfare hostels in 13 districts to inspect the supply of essential commodities.
She asked officials of the Civil Supplies Department to ensure essentials are distributed to beneficiaries through ration shops before 15th of every month. “Judicial powers will be given soon to chairman and members of the food commission,” she revealed.
The panel will have powers to initiate action if irregularities took place in the distribution of essentials. DSO S Padmasri and other officials were present.
