Kakinada: The two-day Coringa Bird Festival 2018 at Mada forests in Koringa, Tallarevu mandal of East Godavari district formally began on Friday. As mark of the inauguration, a technical secession was conducted on the day.

Mummidivaram MLA Datla Subba Raju, chief wildlife warden Dr Nalini Mohan, district forest officer Nandini Salaria, Rajamahendravaram wildlife protection officer Santipriya Pande, divisional forest officer Anant Sankar, observers Mutyamjaya Rao and Deepak Kumar also participated in the inaugural programme. Bird lovers and tourists, college and school students visited the bird festival on the first day.
