President of India Ramnath Konvind on Thursday appointed Justice Chagari Praveen Kumar as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh which will come into existence on 1st January, 2019

Hyderabad: President of India Ramnath Konvind on Thursday appointed Justice Chagari Praveen Kumar as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh which will come into existence on 1st January, 2019.

The President, in a separate order, announced that Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan (Chief Justice), Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice V. Ramasubramanian, who are from other High Courts and presently working in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, will continue to work in the High Court for the State of Telangana at Hyderabad.

These orders were issued in view of Presidential Order notified on December 26, 2018 constituting a separate High Court for State of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati and High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad to become the High Court for the State of Telangana with effect from January 1, 2019.
