Kakinada: Special enrolment of voters has been extended for two more days up to February 26, according to Kakinada city enrolment officer and RDO G Rajakumari.
Participating in enrolment at polling station number 217 at Government Polytechnic for Women on Monday, the RDO said that as per the directive of Election Commission (EC) the extension has been given.
The RDO also visited the extended enrolment at market tank municipal school adjacent municipal library and Salipeta Girls’ High School polling stations and expressed satisfaction over the enrolment of new voters at these centres.
Rajakumari asked the booth-level officers to enrol new voters who completed 18 years of age. She appealed to the eligible candidates to enrol as voters immediately and get an opportunity to exercise their franchise.
