Going by the looks and dimensions, the new sedan appears to have moved a few notches up the market compared to the current Fluence. At the same time, it also looks to be a bigger Nissan
The latest Renault which could adopt an all-new moniker measures 4,630 mm in length, 2,058 mm in width (including wing mirrors), 1,443 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,711 mm. The car borrows its design cues from the latest iteration of the Megane and is based on the same CMF platform as its hatchback sibling.
The sketches reveal the Fluence replacement sports the new grille with larger Renault Lozenge. The headlamps appear to sport Pure Vision LED headlamps along with LED DRL strips that run down towards the bumper.
In profile, the sedan is characterized by a gently tapering roofline, long rear overhang and understated sheet metal surface. Sleek LED taillights that extend deep into the boot lid and a single exhaust tip round off the exterior design. Interior is most likely to be derived from the Megane.
The next gen Renault Fluence would be sharing its powertrain lineup with its hatchback sibling which offers a choice of three TCe petrol motors and three dCi diesel motors.
