That means, everytime you stop and go, the car’s battery is getting recharged. Secondly, the car’s high drag coefficient of .32. For reference, a Tesla Model S has a Cd of 0.24, making the bigger Tesla much more efficient on the highway.

New Chevrolet Bolt EV comes with improved cabin space, distinctive headlamp design, dual grille, rear seats with 60/40 split resulting in added storage space at the rear.

Chevrolet has designed a flat battery pack for new Bolt, which fits under its floor giving it a low center of gravity for better handling. Acceleration form 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 7 seconds while throttle response is also good. The Bolt offers multiple driving modes and regenerative braking.

Advanced infotainment and connectivity technologies are seen on board the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. It possesses a navigation system that offers routes that maximize range and offers information on charging stations in the vicinity. Other connectivity and infotainment features include a 10.2” MyLink color touch screen display and rear camera mirror and surround vision offering a wide angle view of the rear and a bird’s eye view of everything around the Bolt thereby enhancing safety during low speed or while parking.

MyLink supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The all new MyChevrolet Mobile App performs a variety of vehicle functions that include vehicle charge status, OnStar Map service, remote start, cabin pre-condition and owner’s manual information.

Safety features include lane departure detection and collision avoidance while the Bolt will also sport ‘Gamification’ feature which promotes efficient driving by allowing Bolt drivers to compete against each other for green driving awards or rankings.
