Honda revealed the India-bound facelifted City in the Thai market recently and it is likely to be launched by the end of this month in India. Interestingly, the Japanese automaker is reviving the ‘City ZX’ moniker – which was first used with the mid-cycle update of the second-gen City in India – with the upcoming facelifted version.

If one compares the mid-cycle update of the third-generation City with the upcoming fourth-gen one, the latter features more updates, both inside and outside. The same happened with the facelifted version of the second-gen model as well, which debuted the ‘ZX’ moniker, and that's perhaps why Honda is using the ‘ZX’ label once again.

Speaking of the aesthetic alterations, Honda has now put the City in line with current global sedans such as the Accord and the Civic with its new front fascia. The 2017 City ZX gets LED headlamps similar to the new Accord Hybrid, along with LED tail lamps. It rides on 16-inch tyres on a new set of diamond-cut alloy wheels as opposed to the 15-inchers on the outgoing version. On the inside, it will feature a brand-new infotainment system, which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, along with other smaller changes. Mechanically, the City is likely to remain unaltered and will carry forward the current set of powertrains.
