Hyderabad: Zoomcar, a self-drive car rental company, on Monday launched its services in Tirupati. The company saw a large traction of tourists demanding for self-driven cars in the temple town and rolled out its services there.

Within few days of its operations in Tirupati, the company has completed around 300 successful rides in the city. The company has 25 cars in the temple town, ranging from hatchbacks such as Ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Honda Jazz, to SUVs like Ford Ecosport, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio.

The company plans to add luxury segment in due course. “With our successful launch in Tirupati, we have covered 27 metro and non-metro cities across India. The adoption in our existing markets has been overwhelming, and we expect a similar path of growth and acceptance in the new markets that we are launching.

In Tirupati, we are bringing gambit of our services in the city where majority of tourists come all over the country,” said Greg Moran, CEO & co-founder, Zoomcar. Our average fleet utility is more than 60 per cent. We see an enormous potential in the city and can easily envision it becoming a 75-car market for us, within the next one year, he said. In a span of four years, Zoomcar has successfully achieved over 30 lakh happy customers, more than 10 lakh trips and 3,000 cars under its fleet.
