In Germany, the G310R retails at 4,750 euros (around INR 3.54 lakhs), marginally cheaper than its primary rivals like the Yamaha MT-03, Kawasaki Z300 and KTM Duke 390.While the BMW badge, aggressive styling, and a tempting price tag will surely attract attention, the baby Bimmer is the least powerful (at least on paper) offering in the segment. The 313 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine develops 34 PS as against the Duke’s (also made-in-India) 44 PS.

The automaker has also announced a range of accessories to enable personalization. One can opt for a luggage rack at the rear with two options for top cases – 30-litre box in Granite Matte Grey or a regular 29-litre unit. Owners can also specify their G310R with an inner bag for top case, a reprofiled seat which reduces the pillion seat height, heated grips, centre stand, 12V charging socket and LED turn indicators. ABS is available as a standard fitment.

The G310R is expected to go on sale in India later this year. The motorcycle will also spawn a fully faired TVS version which was previewed by the Akula 310 concept.
