Mercedes AMG GT Roadster and GT C Roadster join 3 versions of the GT coupe with the sports car now offered in five tunes. GT Roadster will be the base convertible while GT C offers higher performance.

The GT Roadster and GT C Roadster are powered by a 4.0 liter, twin turbocharged V8 engine sending power to rear wheels via a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. On GT Roadster, this engine is capable of 469 hp power and 465 lb/ft (630 Nm) torque while on GT C Roadster this goes upto 550 hp and 502 lb/ft (680). Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 3.9 seconds where the GT Roadster is concerned going down to 3.7 seconds on the GT C Roadster while top speeds stand at 302 kmph and 315 kmph respectively.

Both convertibles are offered with fabric roof in black, beige and red which can open and close in a matter of 11 seconds and can do so even while the car is travelling 50 kmph.

It also gets AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension and rear wheel steering system besides electronic locking rear differential. Both sports cars are noted with Panamericana grille with 15 chrome plated vertical bars and wider fender flares. Added structural bracing ensures sturdiness while Mercedes Benz has ensured use of lightweight materials through its entire makeup.
