Now That You Know Everything About The Hexa, Here Are A Few Pointers For Potential Owners

Launched at a competitive price of Rs 11.99-17.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Tata Hexa has piqued the interest of many a utility vehicle buyer. Now that we have the prices, there’s little left to the imagination except for a few points that any potential owner must know.

Warranty

Tata Motors has been consistently working to improve the ownership experience, something which it hasn’t had the best reputation for in the past. In fact, Tata Motors ranked third in the J.D. Power India customer service index, moving up four places since 2011.

Additionally, to offer some tangible peace of mind, the Hexa comes with a three year/1 lakh kilometre warranty as standard which is the same as you get with the Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta; not to mention, an engine warranty of three years/1.5 lakh kilometres. Extended warranties for the fourth and fifth year are available as well, and depending on the variant, the prices for the same range between Rs 11,000-15,000.

Service Schedule

The periodic service is scheduled for 10,000km or 6 months (whichever is earlier) with an oil change required at every 20,000kms or 12 months.

Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

Tata is also offering the Gold and Silver AMC packages.

However, dealers only seem aware of the Gold AMC plan which covers scheduled maintenance services ranging from 20,000km to 1,50,000km. This plan includes components like the labour cost, consumables, unexpected repairs viz. clutch, brake pad, brake liner, suspension, belts, wiper, wheel alignment, wheel balancing and other wear & tear items.

A 1 year/20,000km plan costs Rs 9,170 while a 2 year/40,000km schedule costs Rs 24,000, with prices proportionately increasing if you opt for a more extensive package.
