For someone who is a Lawyer by profession, getting into archlights seems a strange trail. Nimisha Mehta, Miss India UK London (2012) says she’s a destiny’s child. “I was born and bred in London and have been into performing arts (since the age of six) dance, modeling, singing, etc. I never thought I’d become an actor used to see it only as pastime. I wanted to become a lawyer since I like the subject.

I completed my degree in law and worked for some time, and it was then I realised that I wasn’t enjoying it. So I decided to come to Mumbai for a break and look for an alternative career and eventually got into modeling,” she recalls her journey.

After working in several commercials, Nimisha finally had Bollywood calling with ‘There will be Tomorrow’, written and directed by Bhushan Gaur. Talking about social drama, the formerly model says, “It’s the journey of the couple where a male (played by Sahil Salathia) is infected by HIV virus. How they deal with life, relationships, etc after he is diagnosed is narrated interestingly.

It also focuses on how HIV infected parents can have normal babies whilst addressing the hopes and failures of the couples affected by virus. There can be bigger problems than HIV and all that is needed to handle the problems is courage and support of your people.” The honorable Governor of Goa recently felicitated the cast and crew of ilm for spreading the awareness at the HIV Congress held in Goa in March.
