Plans to set up CVS assembling unit soon with an investment of `400 crore; it earmarks overall investment of `1,500 crore in next two years

Fabrizio BorloniHyderabad: Enthused by Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, Italy based central vacuum systems producer (CVS), Sistem Air plans to set up assembling plant in Telangana, according to Fabrizio Borloni, Global Export Head, Susten Air.

Speaking to reporters immediately after launching the products here, Borloni said, “We have entered into an agreement with Bin Daen Group to market our vacuum cleaning products in India, Asian and Middle-eastern countries.”

The joint venture agreement further will extend to setting up of an assembling and manufacturing units in India. “We have earmarked Rs 1,500 crore (Euro 200 million) to invest in the proposed plants in the next two years,” Borloni revealed.

However, they have not yet decided the location but, Bin Daen Group’s Director Bavani Ganti said that the group is in contact with Telangana government and considering setting up near Adibatla village in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Ganti said that the first assembling plant is expected to come up in Telangana as the government is in-principle agreed to extend all required support. “We are waiting for the governmental clearances for the land,” he revealed.

The group has already earmarked an investment of Rs 400 crore on the assembling unit with a capacity of 5 million sq ft.

CVSs are designed to remove dirt and debris from homes and buildings, sending dirt particles through tubing installed inside the walls to a collection container in a remote utility space.

The product range begins with the area covering from 600 sq ft up to 5 million sq ft and above. The after-sale-services will be undertaken by the Universal Electronics and Home Appliances, a unit of Bin Daen group. Besides independent houses and villas, the company is targeting large apartments, commercial malls, hospitals, hotels, warehouses etc.
