Hyderabad: The city-based 3F Industries Ltd (formerly Foods Fats & Fertilisers Ltd) on Wednesday forayed into brand sunflower oil business by launching Sunsolite brand here. Amala Akkineni, who is brand ambassador for the product, formally unveiled the sunflower oil brand.

“We will leverage our over five-decade long experience of oil manufacturing and marketing knowledge to establish 'Sunsolite' as the brand of choice for Indian customers. Our world class refinery, product designed to suit the customer need and an aggressive promotional campaign, will help us carve a niche in the segment”, Sushil Goenka, Director, 3F Industries, told media after the launch of the brand.

The consumer business division of Rs 1,100-crore 3F Industries will handle the new business initiative. A formidable player in the manufacturing of various edible oils, the company will tap its existing network across the country to market the new brand.

“ The Sunsolite refined sunflower, which comes with the anti foaming agent PDMS, is available in convenient customer friendly packs of 500ml and 1 litre pouches; 2 and 5 litre Pet Bottles; 3, 5 and 15 litres HDPE jars and 15-KG and Lit bulk pack tins,” Goenka said.

The company will use the existing capacity at its edible oil refinery at Krishnapatnam Port in Nellore district for producing the refined sunflower oil.

This refinery, set up in 2012-13 with an investment of Rs 200 crores is a fully automated plant with a refining capacity of 100 MT of sunflower oil a day.
