“Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are among our markets, accounting for nearly 10 per cent of our totals. Our business in both the states is growing 20 per cent annually, matching our national growth levels. We expect the contribution from both the states to continue to grow,” Mansoor Ali, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Hamdard Laboratories, told The Hans India here.

He further said his company chose Hyderabad as location for its second wellness centre because of the strong demand for its products here. The centre will offer specialised Unani consultation by experienced doctors and Unani medicines at the fully stocked Unani pharmacy for problems related to various diseases.

It will also offer disease management services by disseminating information on lifestyle related disorders through a series of experiential and awareness focused sessions involving communities. Meanwhile, the company which currently has 500 unani-based products in its range is looking to launch 10 to 15 new products this fiscal. On the revenues, Hamdard is targeting total revenues of Rs 1,000 crore by 2019-20. It clocked Rs 600 crore turnover in the last financial year.
