Bengaluru-based free online learning platform, Unacademy, has raised $1 million in its second round of external investment. The funding round was led by Blume Ventures, Flipkart Founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal,  among others.  

Hyderabad: Bengaluru-based free online learning platform, Unacademy, has raised $1 million in its second round of external investment. The funding round was led by Blume Ventures, Flipkart Founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, among others.

Since its launch in January this year, Unacademy has attracted over one million video views per month. More than 100 educators have created over 300 courses on the platform in the last eight months. Kiran Bedi, Lt Governor of Puducherry, is also an educator at Unacademy.

“Over 300,000 students have benefited from over 2,400 online lessons and specialised courses on cracking various competitive examinations, on our platform. Within two months, the Unacademy Create app will be made available to all,” said Gaurav Munjal, Co-founder and CEO of Unacademy.
