Ruchi Soya has been recognized for its initiatives and implementation of safety measures with four of its plants receiving coveted national safety awards.
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ruchi Soya has been recognized for its initiatives and implementation of safety measures with four of its plants receiving coveted national safety awards.
The awards are given away by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in acknowledgement of safety initiatives and recognition of outstanding safety performance at a national level.
The awards were distributed by Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment at a glittering ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi recently.
This is the second year in succession that Ruchi Soya's manufacturing plants were honoured with this prestigious government distinction.
The four plants of Ruchi Soya which were felicitated for excellent safety practices and processes are: Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Ampapuram (Andhra Pradesh), Kandla (Gujarat) and Karanpura (Bihar).
Dinesh Shahra, MD and CEO of Ruchi Soya Industries Limited, said, "Excellence is a way of life at Ruchi Soya and the National Safety Awards are a recognition of our excellence in safety. Ruchi Soya is committed to safety in the workplace and the awards motivate us to strive for higher benchmarks in safety across all our plants in line with the best business practices in manufacturing."
Ruchi Soya carries out regular safety campaigns to change employees' attitudes and awareness towards safety and to encourage their participation in safety initiative.
