Hyderabad: Industry body Assocham presented SMEs Excellence Award to Andhra Pradesh Grameen Vikas Bank (APGVB) under Micro Lending (Rural Sector) category for the year 2017.

TV Krishna Reddy, General Manager-II, APGVB, received the award on behalf of the bank from Dr Udit Raj, Member of Parliament, at the 5th SMEs Excellence Awards 2017 programme organised by Assocham in New Delhi.

“Our bank has introduced a number of loan products such as APGVB Mudra, Stand-Up India, Rent Plus, Doctor Plus, Weavers Credit Card, General Purpose Credit Card, Asset backed loans, Small Road Transport operators etc., primarily meant to cater to the financial needs of small ticket borrowers from micro lending and SME category,” V Narasi Reddy, Chairman, APGVB.

The bank so far offered loans totalling Rs 932 crore in microfinance and SMEs categories. As on date, the bank has a credit portfolio of Rs 13,130 crore and a deposit base of Rs 13,639 crore.
