It’s been quite some time since senior director Vamsi has had a success at the box-office. His movies have always been a showcase for the beauty of the Godavari river and its surroundings and the characterization of the heroine, usually in a completely traditional Andhra woman attire accompanied by the ‘bindi’ on her forehead.

The director who has a fan following of his own is now coming up with ‘Fashion Designer’, a sequel to his yesteryear cult hit ‘Ladies Tailor’. The title initially gave rise to the apprehension among his fans that his trademark Godavari river and beauty would be missing in this film since it might have a cosmopolitan backdrop to it.

Putting to rest such speculation, a source close to the film’s unit has revealed that the movie is set entirely in the backdrop of the Godavari region which means that it is all set to be another treat for his fans. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore who had produced the original ‘Ladies Tailor’ released the second song of the film ‘Fashion Designer’ at a function yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kishore said that ‘Ladies Tailor’ was his first film as a producer and turned out to be quite a sensation back then.

Stating that nobody could capture the beauty of Godavari like Vamsi, he extended his best wishes to the unit. Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy, the film stars Sumanth Ashwin and Aneesha Ambrose in the lead and is scheduled for release in the third week of May.
