Even though, films of lineage stars like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun’s films are sold for anywhere between Rs 12 to 15 crore, but Nani crosses Rs 1 crore mark only in 2017 because he mostly does love stories.

Although, most of Nani’s films like ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’, ‘Nenu Local’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ have shattered box-office records in AP, TS and overseas, but Nani was unable to expand his pan-Indian appeal.

“Pan-Indian audience like to watch mostly action films of big Telugu stars, than simple love stories. If not for Dil Raju’s tough bargaining, even ‘MCA” wouldn’t have got such a price,’ says a industry source.

Nonetheless, if Nani is able to expand his market across India, his subsequent movies will fetch producers a higher price apart from his soaring local and overseas market.
