Megastar Chiranjeevi unveiling the first look of Tamil star Vijay Antony’s next release ‘Indrasena’, surely indicates Tamil star’s raising popularity among Telugu viewers. Move over leading neighbourhoo stars like Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal or even Upendra, it is now the season of next-gen stars to make inroads with their dubbed and straight movies.

After dashing actor Dhanush, the films of stars like Vijay Antony, Dulquer Salmaan are selling like hot cakes. Despite flops like ‘VIP 2,’ the national-award winning actor’s dubbed films are still in demand. “ Dhanush became an overnight star among Telugu viewers with his scintillating performance in ‘Raghuvaran B. Tech’ and his market has expanded from Rs 1 crore to Rs 6 crore in a short duration.

Just needs one solid hit, to regain his winning streak, as he is a powerhouse of talent,’ says distributor Bharat Bhushan who also reminds about Tamil star like Sivakartikeyan who couldn’t make an impact with ‘Remo’. Whereas, Malayalam star Dulquer and Vijay Sethupathi are making debut in T-town with ‘Mahanati’ and ‘Sye Raa Narasimhareddy’ respectively.

Meanwhile, their colleague and reigning Tamil star Vijay Antony has been expanding his horizons post blockbuster ‘Bichagadu’ to his upcoming and much-hyped film ‘Indrasena’. “Vijay Antony has wowed Telugu viewers with varied films like ‘Salim’ and ‘Bethaludu’ but 'Bichagadu' was a trendsetter of sorts.

He earned respect for keeping audience guessing, what his next film would be like, that is his scoring point. Not to be surprised, if his next film ‘Indrasena’ is sold for a fancy price in two Telugu states,’ adds another distributor Vishnumurthy Summing up the trend, businessman-turned-producer D V Krishna Swamy who is betting big on Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan in his upcoming film ‘Hey Pillagada’ set to release in September “Dulquer is very talented and committed actor like his father and ace actor Mammotty.

He is very energetic and a born actor who can slip into any kind of role with consummate ease. After playing a flamboyant lover boy in hit film ‘OK Bangaram’, Dulquer will prove his acting brilliance in our upcoming release ‘Hey Pillagada’ as he plays a a short-tempered guy. Talent has no language barriers, Dulquer is here to stay for good.’
