Both the movies have brought him a new stardom. There were rumours that the actor is going to enter Kollywood film industry with an interesting film and the official announcement was made today morning.
The actor wrapped up Taxi Wala and is busy with Parasuram’s next film which is bankrolled by Geetha Arts. Geetha Govindham is the title in consideration. Soon after that, he will be seen in Savitri biopic. The official announcement reveals that Anand Shankar who made an impressive debut with Arima Nambi is going to direct Vijay's debut film.
The film will start rolling next year and will be produced by KE Gnanavelraja on Studio Green banner. Anand's last film is Irumugan with Vikram. This new film with Vijay is said to be bilingual.
