From the time Agnyaathavaasi released, there were rumours that the film is a rip-off of the French movie The Heir Apparent, which is based on a comic book Largo Winch. The story did rounds for some time on the social media, and from the time the teaser released, there is a good buzz about the movie.

We have now come to know that T-series, which had the copyrights of the French film, slapped a legal notice on Agnyathaavaasi producers. Apparently, Rana Daggubati stepped in to solve the issue and brought both the parties to a compromise. Apparently, the makers are said to have settled the matter by paying compensation of an amount of 5 Crores. T Series has demanded more from the makers but the producers, at the last minute, have agreed to give five crores.
Few other agreements were made by both the parties which were unclear.
