It’s not just Mahesh Babu or Rana Daggubati who have had weak responses to their recent forays into bi-lingual releases. Sundeep Kishan, who has suddenly enjoyed a spike in his box-office ratings, with his films priced decently in the Telugu market, has suddenly had a spate of setbacks. This in fact has greatly eroded his value and standing, as far as his dubbed films go.

In the last week of December, one of his films ‘Project Z’ found a release alongside Allu Sirish’s ‘ Okka Kshanam’.

A delayed venture in the making for about three years, the film was sold for a low price of Rs 35 lakh, a major dip in the commercial status of the star. Sources say that the low-profile Kishan, who was also slowly climbing the route to the top slot, needs to watch out as he has a film in Telugu and Tamil, being helmed by big names like Manjula Ghattamaneni and Karthick Naren of D 16 fame under production.
