Shamili has a point to prove

Popular child-artiste-turned actress Shamili is returning to T-town after a long hiatus with ‘Ammammagari Illu’ opposite handsome actor Naga Shourya. On the other hand, Naga Shourya, after romancing pretty damsels like Rashi Khanna, Regina Cassandra, will be wooing a homely-looking girl in his next, touted to be a family entertainer, directed by Sundar.

It may recalled that Shamili of 'Anjali' fame, made her acting debut as a heroine with 'Oye' but as it sank without a trace, the talented actress's career didn't really take off. "Now Shamili is on a comeback trail of sorts and her film with Naga Shourya will be the right comeback vehicle for the talented actress, who is one of the happening young actors in T-town," says a source from Chennai.

It is also to be noted here that Shamili is the sister of actress Shalini who is married to Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar. "Shamili has gone in for a complete make-over under the guidance of Ajith. Apart from slimming down, she wants to do some meaningful roles, rather glam-prop ones, " the source adds. Will Shamili bounce back into the reckoning? Let us see.
