Mahanati Beats Naa Peru Surya!

Amidst huge expectations, the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, 'Mahanati' has finally hit the screens on May 9 and took the box office by heavy storm. In the biopic, Keerthy Suresh played the role of Savitri and Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan.

The film is directed by Nag Ashwin, Yevade Subrahmanyam fame and as per the latest reports, Mahanati has collected approximately $303,456 from the premiere shows and the first-day shows, count beat the record of Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India, which collected approximately $202,189. The collections of Mahanati are likely to get doubled by the end of this weekend.

The team has put a great effort and worked hard for this project and successfully recreated the glorious period of Telugu Cinema on the silver screen. The film also features Samantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda in important roles. Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt are the producers.
