A photo exhibition, involving works by seven prominent photographers, opened at Chitramayi Art Gallery here on Friday to mark the ongoing World Telugu Conference. The exhibits showcase the life and beauty of Telangana, its culture and traditions; grandeur of Deccan, among other subjects. 

Hyderabad: A photo exhibition, involving works by seven prominent photographers, opened at Chitramayi Art Gallery here on Friday to mark the ongoing World Telugu Conference. The exhibits showcase the life and beauty of Telangana, its culture and traditions; grandeur of Deccan, among other subjects.

The State’s Tourism and Culture Department, in association with the Hyderabad Photo Artists Foundation, is jointly organising the show. Noted photographer A Suryaprakash, artist and filmmaker B Narsinga Rao, along with artist Laxman Aelay, formally inaugurated the exhibition. The ancient images of Hyderabad city captured by late Raja Deen Dayal are on display here.

B Narsinga Rao’s rustic life of Telangana, the pomp and fervour of Sammakka Saralamm jatara by Rama Veeresh Babu, the artistic grandeur of Kakatiya by Rama Madhu Gopala Rao from Warangal are among the works appealing to art lovers.

S Harpal Singh of Adilabad magnificently presented the beauty of tribal life. G Satyanarayana unveiled the traditional ‘Bonalu’ through his lenses. The photos of the beauty of rocks at Deccan by actor and shutterbug K Vishvender Reddy received applaud.

The exhibition will be held for five days, according to director of the State Art Gallery K Laxmi and Hyderabad Photo Artists Foundation founder Ravinder Reddy. The show will be open to the visitors from 10 am to 6 pm.
