Karimnagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths trapped a health department employee while taking bribe from an ANM in Peddapalli on Friday.

According to ACB sleuths, Ahmada Begum, senior assistant at Kalwasrirampur Primary Health Centre, demanded Rs 10,000 from Sriramula Vijaya, working as ANM in Pegadapalli sub-centre, to clear TA and DA bills and finally settled at Rs 5,000. She told Vijaya to meet her along with the amount at Peddapalli hospital.

Vijaya, reluctant to pay the bribe, approached the ACB, who hatched a plan and trapped the senior assistant in Peddapalli area hospital.
ACB in-charge DSP Saibaba along with his troop caught the senior assistant red handed.
