Mother kills her two kids

Kodangal: A mother, who is an alcoholic, allegedly murdered her son and daughter by drowning them in a well, unable to bear with their schooling and other expenses. The incident occurred in Balampeta village of Daulatabad mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Hanumamma, a casual worker living with her parents in the village.

According to the police, Hanumamma, following differences with her husband, had moved to her parents’ house in the village along with her children Sireesha (11) and Bheeshappa (9), two years ago. By the time the agriculture workers tried to save the children, it was too late. Hanumamma was in an inebriated condition when she was handed over to the police.
