14 passengers hurt as RTC bus rams tipper

Hyderabad: As many as 14 passengers suffered injuries when the RTC bus they were travelling in rammed a tipper from rear at Hayathnagar on Thursday morning.
According to Hayathnagar inspector J Narender Goud, the bus belonging to Suryapet depot (AP 24 Z 105) was heading to Hyderabad with about 20 passengers on Thursday morning, when it rammed a tipper moving in the same direction.
The police teams rushed to the spot and shifted the passengers in private vehicles to nearby hospitals for treatment. “The negligence by bus driver has resulted in the accident.
The tipper was moving at a moderate speed, but the RTC driver could not control the bus and hit the tipper from rear. As many as 14 passengers suffered injuries,” said inspector Narender Goud.
A case has been booked under rash and negligent driving against the RTC bus driver, the inspector said, adding that all the passengers were discharged from the hospitals after treatment.
