Hyderabad: Rachakonda police on Wednesday arrested two persons for sexually assaulting a minor girl. The accused were identified as Mohammed Osman and Jahangir Khan, both residents of New Maruti Nagar. Police seized a car, mobile phone and a hijab from the accused.

It all began after Osman, who works in the welding shop run by Jahangir at Manda Mallamma Cross Roads under Meerpet police station limits, befriended a ninth standard girl living near the shop. He lured the girl in the guise of love and asked her to accompany him to his bachelor room where he sexually assaulted her five times on different occasions, police said.

Osman's employer Jahangir got wind of it and met the girl at her house on April 14 and told her that he had pictures and videos of her intimate scenes with Osman. He demanded that the girl get intimate with him, failing which he would make the videos and pictures public besides posting them online, police said.

As the girl was under fear, he forced her to board his car the next day, made her wear a hijab and took her to a hotel in Malakpet. He told the hotel staff that the girl was his sister and they came to see a doctor and that they had an appointment with the doctor in the evening. On that day, Jahangir sexually assaulted the girl twice, police said.

While dropping the girl back at her house, Jahangir demanded that the girl satisfy him again on April 25 if she wanted the pictures and videos back, police said.

Unable to take this anymore, the girl informed her parents and later lodged a complaint. Based on it, police registered a case under the provisions of Indian Penal Code and also under the provisions of POCSO Act and arrested both the accused.
