HYDERABAD: Lakshmi, wife of home guard A Satyanarayana who lost his life in the suicide bombing at the Begumpet Task Force office, is extremely upset with Thursday's court verdict acquitting all the accused in the case.

Lakshmi was in her forties when Satyanarayana was killed in the suicide attack carried out by a Bangladeshi national Dalin alias Mohtasim Billal.

All these years, she spent long hours stitching clothes to support her three children. "How can nobody get punished for killing my husband? What kind of justice is this? I have suffered a lot and brought up my children by burning midnight oil at the sewing machine. We still have no house to live in," Lakshmi said.

Lakshmi spent years in small rented houses in Aliabad village with her three children after the sudden death of Satyanarayana. The family got Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia from the government. "For one month after my husband's death, several officials visited my house and promised to provide me a house and jobs to my children. But nothing has come true till today," Lakshmi bemoaned.
