Jadcherla: A 28-year-old man and his lover committed suicide by hanging on the outskirts of Ippalapalli village in Timmajipet mandal of Nagarkurnool district. Farmers working in the vicinity spotted the bodies hanging from a tree and informed the police, who rushed to the scene of offence. A suicide note was found at the scene.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Nagaraju, a father of two and Shruti, his relative. On August 21, the couple set out on a motorcycle to Tudukurti in Nagarkurnool district from Hyderabad and took the extreme step en route.

Police investigation revealed that Nagaraju along with his family members has been living in Hyderabad for the last many months. He was married to one Uma four years ago and the couple was blessed with two children, including a girl.

However, Nagaraju developed intimacy with Shruti (18), who also hails from the same village as that of Nagaraju and lives in Hyderabad with her parents. Suspecting something fishy, relatives of Nagaraju and Shruti chided them for their behaviour.

Meanwhile, the suicide purportedly written by Nagaraju listed out the sacrifices made by his parents in bringing him up. He repented that he could realise the value of his parents only after he became a father.

The suicide note named his wife, Uma and listed out phone numbers of his family members. The police communicated the tragic news to the family and sent their bodies to Nagarkurnool government hospital for post-mortem.
