Hyderabad: The sleuths of Cyber Crime of Rachakonda arrested a sound technician working with a Telugu TV channel for posting videos of a woman on porn websites.
According to police, Patibandla Sanjay (24), a resident of Karkhana and native of Prakasam district of AP met the woman at Miryalguda, during a TV serial shooting. Both exchanged their mobile numbers and used to chat frequently.
After few days, the accused lured the victim and encouraged her to show her private parts while doing video chat. He recorded the video footage without her knowledge. Later, he started blackmailing her to come online frequently. When she refused to do so, he threatened to post her private videos on porn websites.
Even as she warned him for doing so, he posted her private videos on various porn websites. Coming to know about this, the victim lodged a complaint with the police. Police registered a case under sections 354(D), 506 IPC, 66E, 67 of IT Act and undertook investigation.
On September 11, the accused Patibandla Sanjay was arrested from Karkhana, Secunderabad and his mobile phone used for offence was also seized.
“All the links of victim’s videos got removed by sending notices to the concerned websites,” said M Mahesh Bhagwat, Commissioner, Rachakonda.
“People specially the girls should remain careful while chatting with their friends and under no circumstances should they expose themselves to strangers as there is every possibility that, the culprit may try to exploit the victims by one way or other,” cautioned the Commissioner.
