Three youngsters drown in Godavari
Three youths were drowned in Godavari River at Mulkala Godavari river bank in Hajipur mandal in Mancherial district on Sunday. The three youths Manda Anil, Mittapalli Venu and Asampalli Mahesh came to Godavari river to have a holy bath in the river along with their family members.

The trio went into the river and bathing. Suddenly current of water flow increased and the trio were found missing. Their family members tried to protect them in vain. The police launched search for the missing youth.
While Anil was a X class student, Venu and Mahesh were pursuing degree course. They had gone for the swim along with one Akhil and got drowned in the swirling river waters. However, Akhil was saved by his relatives.
Rural CI Pramod Rao and Tahsildar Mohan Reddy rendered assistance to the bereaved families. Officials reached the spot to take up search for the bodies using the services of expert swimmers and the Singareni rescue team. The bodies remained untraced because of darkness. The search would be resumed on Monday morning, the officials told The Hans India.
