Minor girl rape case: one held, two at large
Jaggaiahpet police arrested a 19-year old youth on Monday on charges of raping a minor girl studying in Eighth Class. Police booked a case on three youths on Sunday and began hunt to nab the accused.
Vijayawada: Jaggaiahpet police arrested a 19-year old youth on Monday on charges of raping a minor girl studying in Eighth Class. Police booked a case on three youths on Sunday and began hunt to nab the accused.
They arrested one P Gopi, who along with two other youths, allegedly raped a minor girl aged 13- years recently. Father of the girl M Saidulu lodged a complaint to Jaggaiahpet police on Sunday.
The incident occurred nearby village recently but came to light only on Sunday. The police booked case on Pasupuleti Gopi, 19 years, G Chitti Babu, 20 years, P Gopi Reddy,20, in connection with the rape.
The girl is studying Eighth Class in Gannavaram mandal of Krishna district and staying in a hostel. She went to her home in a village near Jaggaiahpet to see her ailing mother recently. The three youths took the girl to the isolated area and committed the heinous act. Police said they have arrested Gopi and been searching for the two other accused.
