A junior assistant Nannava Ravi Kumar committed suicide alleging harassment by his higher officials at Ankammanagar in Guntur.
Guntur: A junior assistant Nannava Ravi Kumar committed suicide alleging harassment by his higher officials at Ankammanagar in Guntur.
Ravi Kumar was working in Health and Medical department as Junior Assistant. He left a selfie video recording on his Facebook account before taking the extreme step. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Guntur government hospital on Wednesday evening.
In the video, he alleged that he was transferred to Ponnuru a year ago and when he tried for re-posting in Guntur, his higher officials demanded him one lakh rupees bribe. He had already given Rs 70,000 but the middlemen used the amount.
He reportedly mentioned some officers names holding them responsible for his death.
His wife, daughters and relatices demanded a strong action against the culprits.
