Minor held for house breaking in kodad

Kodad: The Kodad police on Friday arrested a minor and recovered Rs 5.60 lakh worth gold ornaments from his possession. Kodad CI Rajitha producing the accused before the media disclosed the crime details of juvenile offender Bollishetti Srinivas alias Bannu (17), a native of Sattupally of Khammam district.
The CI informed that Srinivas took to crimes in order to lead a luxurious life. In this regard, on April 7 this year, the accused stole Rs 1.6 lakh worth gold ornaments from the house of one Juthiga Venkateshwar Rao located at Nayanagar in Kodad town by breaking open the lock with an iron rod.
Similarly, on September 11, Srinivas stole the gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh from the house of one Lakkam Venkanna of Kodad town by breaking open the lock. Based on complaints by both victims Venkateshwar Rao and Venkanna, police registered the cases and took up the investigation.
During vehicle checking at Kothagudem road on Thursday night, the Kodad town police found Srinivas moving suspiciously and took him into custody for questioning. During interrogation, Srinivas confessed to his crimes.
