Hyderabad: The Task Force raided a building in Yellareddyguda under Panjagutta police station limits on a tip-off. The police arrested eight persons on charges of gambling and seized cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
According to DCP P Radha Kishan Rao, during the raid on Tuesday night, K V Ramana Reddy (61), a movie producer and resident of Manikonda was organising gaming house in a building by taking commission and earning illegal money.
The operation was led by Inspector B Gattu Mallu with the assistance of Sub-Inspectors V Kishore, M Prabhakar Reddy, P Mallikarjun, L Bhaskar Reddy and other staff. The accused along with seized material were handed over to Panjagutta police station.
