Kurnool: The negligent driving of a tipper lorry has claimed a life and injured another at Nandikotkur on the early hours of Monday. Ram Mohan and Shaik Abdul Salam, both residents of Nandikotkur, were taking a morning stroll on Nandikotkur-Midthur road.
While Shaik Abdul Salam (54) was crushed under the lorry resulting his death on the spot, his friend, Ram Mohan suffered serious injuries.
On receiving information, Nandikotkur police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem. The injured was also rushed for medical treatment, said the Sub Inspector S Lakshmi Narayana. We have filed a case and took up investigation, he added.
