Missing girl raped, murdered

The six-year-old girl, Nageswari, of Peddagudem, who went missing on Sunday, was found dead on Wednesday in an under-construction house of a villager, Buran. She is suspected to have been raped and murdered by masons involved in the construction.

Local residents staged a demonstration at site demanding strict action against the culprits. The police are learnt to have taken some suspects into custody. Meanwhile, they shifted the body to the local government hospital for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway.
