2 married women commit suicide
In a horrific incident, two married women Theerupati Gattamma (26), Bhutham Saroja (25) committed suicide by consuming pesticide on Wednesday. They took the extreme step after they were accused of having extramarital affair.

One Kadamanchi Lingaiah claimed that he had extramarital affair with them during the settlement of a dispute in the village on Tuesday evening. This incident took place in Uyyalawada hamlet of Kunchamarthi village under Aevapally mandal in the district.
The two women were upset over the allegation. Apart from it, their husbands, too, had reportedly clashed with them. Gattamma died on the way to hospital by 108 Ambulance and Saroja died while undergoing treatment.
Villagers demanded that Lingaiah be arrested and prosecuted for making wild allegations against the women, leading to their death.
