Hyderabad: The Met department bulletin warned of heavy rain occurring at isolated places in all coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh on September 29.

It said thunderstorms with heavy rain occurred at isolated places across the State on Thursday. The bulletin said the southwest monsoon was active over Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday as the upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the west-central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts, extending up to 3.6 km above the mean sea level.

The trough from the upper air cyclonic circulation to north Kerala across Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka at 1.5 km above the mean sea level is persisting. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the northern parts of Telangana and their neighbourhood. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Nallamada (Anantapur)and Rajampet
( Kadapa) 6 each.
