The fifth edition of Hyderabad Arts Festival (HAF) will begin from May 20 in Hyderabad. Founders of HAF, C S Manoj, Capt. Anand and AV Ramakrishna shared the three-month long festival details during a presser on Friday at Hotel Minerva Grand, Secunderabad.    

HAF has started in 2012 and since then it has become a venue for cultural activities in the city. “Our main is to promote art and culture in Hyderabad. We began this festival with the name, ‘Hydourite’ in 2012 and we changed it only last year. HAF also became India’s longest performing arts festival,” said C S Manoj.

“The curtain raiser events of HLF started at Phoenix Arena on April 8 and will end on April 15, Saturday at Chowmahalla Palace. The main events start from May 20 and end on July 22,” shared Capt Anand. 

This year the events include ‘Euphoria Band’, ‘Fusion Music Concert’, ‘Love-an endless journey’, ‘HAF Smiles’, ‘Bhagwadajukeeyam Ballet’ by Raja Radha Reddy, Sitar recital by Pt Neeladri Kumar, ‘Porous Earth Dance Ballet’, ‘Stand-Up’ comedy by Yogi and Bear, ‘Masala Coffee Band’, Flute recital by Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia and more.
